HyperCSM
Carrier & Spectrum Monitoring Reinvented. A next-generation Carrier & Spectrum Monitoring platform for commercial and military satellite networks — engineered from the ground up for non-cooperative environments.
Overview
Unlike conventional CSM solutions that rely solely on one-dimensional spectrum traces, HyperCSM performs a full two-dimensional (time × frequency) analysis, enabling faster, more accurate monitoring of complex and dynamic communication environments.
HyperCSM combines blind signal detection, intelligent carrier tracking, advanced interference analysis, and automated alarm management to provide operators with complete situational awareness across one or multiple satellite systems.
Designed to monitor complex satellite communications, HyperCSM rapidly detects, identifies, and tracks known, unknown, intermittent, and frequency-hopping signals, while automatically characterizing sophisticated interference and smart jammers.
A fundamentally different approach
True 2D analysis — signals are monitored in both the time and frequency domains instead of relying only on spectrum traces.
Blind-first detection — unknown carriers are detected automatically before being matched against the declared mission plan, allowing the system to identify unauthorized or unexpected transmissions.
Transponder-centric architecture — optimized for rapid scanning of entire transponders rather than individual carriers, dramatically reducing monitoring latency.
Designed for non-cooperative environments — detects intermittent carriers, bandwidth-sharing systems, and sophisticated interference that traditional CSM platforms often miss.
Military-ready — built to monitor TDMA, frequency-hopping, spread-spectrum, and other tactical communications while detecting intelligent and agile jammers.
Advanced monitoring capabilities
HyperCSM continuously compares live measurements against planned carrier parameters to instantly detect deviations in carrier frequency, symbol rate, bandwidth, power and power density, constellation quality, carrier-under-carrier (CuC), occupancy and activity, and signal quality and interference.
Its blind, threshold-free algorithms significantly reduce false alarms while providing operator-level insight into detected anomalies.
Intelligent interference detection
HyperCSM detects, classifies, and characterizes a wide range of intentional and unintentional interference: barrage jammers, continuous-wave (CW) jammers, partial-band jammers, hopping and sweeping jammers, smart and agile jammers, carrier-under-carrier (CuC) interference, and pirate or unauthorized carriers.
The system can even detect jammers operating within or below frequency-hopping (FHSS) communications.
Scalable by design
Deployments range from a standalone monitoring station to multi-site networks with multiple monitoring anchors, centralized Network Operations Centers (NOCs), and fully redundant architectures with instantaneous NOC failover.
Monitoring continues even during network outages, with automatic database synchronization once communications are restored.
Intelligent mission planning & performance
HyperCSM integrates seamlessly with the HyperSuite ecosystem. Its powerful Planner allows operators to model complete monitoring environments — satellites, transponders, stations, carrier plans, and operational constraints. HyperMon can automatically populate the planning database from blind signal analysis, while carriers continue to be tracked even after migrating to different transponders or satellites.
Built around a highly optimized multi-core processing architecture, HyperCSM delivers tens to hundreds of carrier measurements and checks per second, simultaneous monitoring of multiple transponders and satellites, autonomous noise-floor estimation, detection of signals down to 0 dB C/N, and long-term storage with rapid navigation through months of monitoring data. Calibrated RF processing ensures highly accurate measurements across the full 4 x 80 MHz acquisition bandwidth.
